WOOD CARVING AT KIM BONG CARPENTRY VILLAGE
Mr Suong offers a number of wood carvings that he can help you make. His selection includes Fish, a tray or a buffalo. After that He will give a short practice session that will give you a feel of the wood and the chisels you will be working with. Hammering away on the chisel can be tiring so feel free to take short breaks in between the course. The finer details like the eyes and edges of the nose are best left for Mr Suong to finish, but if you’re confident enough have a go at it. Once the main chiseling is done, all that is left is sandpapering. Once you have finished the carving it is yours and you are free to take it home.
